Every now and then, the internet collectively decides on a new phrase. Lately, it\u2019s been \u201cmain character energy.\u201d It\u2019s usually said with a smile. Sometimes as a compliment. Sometimes with a tiny bit of teasing, as if fully enjoying your own life might be\u2026 slightly dramatic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But is it really?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Maybe main character energy isn\u2019t about slow-motion hair flips or pretending there\u2019s a soundtrack following you around. Maybe it\u2019s just about being present. What if allowing yourself to fully enjoy something, a colorful room, a surprising detail, a shared laugh, is just you participating in your own story?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You don\u2019t need a dramatic plot. You don\u2019t need a grand speech. Sometimes, being the main character is as small as choosing to step somewhere new, staying curious, and letting yourself have fun.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
