When visitors step inside IKONO Berlin this spring, they might notice something a little unusual right away.
From March 30 to April 10, standing inside the space is one GIANT Easter egg. It is impossible to miss. It rises nearly three metres tall, wrapped in white fabric canvas. No patterns or colors, just a mysterious, oversized egg quietly waiting in the venue.
At first glance, it’s hard not to wonder what it is doing there. Is it part of an art installation? 🖼️ Is it waiting to be revealed? 🔐 Or is something supposed to happen to it? 🤔
The answer is simple: it is not finished yet. And that’s exactly the point.

An interactive Easter activity in Berlin
This Easter, IKONO Berlin is turning this giant egg into something that grows and changes every day. Instead of being completed by a single artist, the egg slowly transforms through the creativity of the people who visit.
Families, kids, and friends are invited to pick up a marker and add their own drawing, message, or doodle directly onto the canvas. A bunny here, a colorful swirl there, maybe a heart, or a funny face. Little by little, the blank surface begins to fill up. And the most special part is that the artwork never looks the same twice.
A fun Easter plan for families in Berlin
For families visiting IKONO, it turns a simple day out into something more memorable. Kids don’t just explore the space, they get to leave their mark behind and become part of the experience.
In a way, it’s a reminder that some of the best moments of the season come from doing something simple together: drawing, laughing, and creating something new.
So, what will you add to the giant Easter eggs?
