IKONO Berlin celebrates its first anniversary by leaving a mark…Literally

May 22, 2025

In a city where creativity knows no limits, there’s a space where art is touched, imagination is ignited, and the rules are reinvented: IKONO Berlin. This year, the brand’s largest venue celebrates its first anniversary and to mark the occasion, IKONO presents a bold, vibrant new proposal that invites visitors to enjoy a unique experience and leave their mark, literally.

One year of boundless creativity

Since opening in 2024, IKONO Berlin has welcomed around 100,000 visitors, both locals and international tourists. Most of them are young people seeking different, memorable experiences that break away from the conventional. In just one year, this space has become a must-visit destination for anyone who wants to play, create, and experience art from the inside out.

A collective mural and shared creativity

From May 22 IKONO Berlin will celebrate its anniversary with the launch of a collective mural where visitors are invited to draw, write, and, above all, play outside the lines. This evolving artwork celebrates self-expression and transforms the visit into a participatory experience that embodies the spirit of the brand: breaking molds and creating something truly unique.

Two New Installations

The celebration also marks the debut of two new immersive rooms. First, discover our Light Portal, an interactive space where movement becomes visual art through a dynamic play of lights that respond in real time. And second, IRIS a poetic and intimate installation that captures the human iris in high-resolution images, celebrating this natural, one-of-a-kind work of art. These photographs are available in digital, printed, or framed formats, and can be customized with artistic effects—for adults and children aged five and up.

One Brand, One Mission: Playing Outside the Lines

“Berlin has always been a city that challenges norms and celebrates creativity, that’s why IKONO fits so well here,” says Fernando Pastor, co-founder and CEO of IKONO. “One year later, it’s amazing to see how people have made this space their own. As we celebrate five years of IKONO globally, Berlin perfectly reflects what it means to play outside the lines.”

With 14 immersive rooms and as the brand’s largest location, IKONO Berlin continues to break the mold of cultural entertainment, founded in Spain in 2020, IKONO is now present in seven European cities and has welcomed more than 1.5 million visitors. Its mission remains the same, to transform every visit into a sensorial journey where art, play, and human connection come together to surprise and inspire.
